aomi command ships in the @aomi-labs/client npm package. It gives terminal users and coding agents the same Agent, Pipeline, account, and wallet surfaces as the TypeScript client.
Release availability matters. On September 22, 2026, npm
latest is 0.7.6,
while merged frontend source is 0.9.4. The 0.9.4 source adds account App
installation and persistent App credential commands. Those commands require a
matching npm release and backend deployment. Check aomi --version before
using a version-specific command.https://chat.aomi.dev. Override the environment for one command with --backend-url, or persist it with aomi config set-backend.
Install
Run once without installing globally:aomi binary globally:
aomi binary. Substitute npx @aomi-labs/client@latest when you do not want a global install.
Start with Agent chat
Run one prompt and exit:--prompt or aomi chat in scripts and CI.
The REPL accepts these commands:
--provider-key and /key accept anthropic, openai, or openrouter. They send the value to Aomi’s secret service. They do not save the raw value in the local session file.
Choose Auto or Direct routing
New sessions use Auto routing unless you select an App:--app or --application-id implies Direct mode. Do not combine either selector with --mode auto.
Review an Agent Action
When an Agent turn needs your wallet, the CLI exposes a pending Action. Read it before executing it:tx name is retained for CLI compatibility. The current API object is an Action, which can represent EVM execution, SVM execution, or a signature request. See Transactions and signing.
Work with Pipeline directly
Pipeline commands discover Apps, skills, and operation schemas without starting an Agent turn:Sign in for account-owned work
Guest mode is enough for environment-approved public operations. Sign in when sessions, entitlements, installed Apps, or credentials must belong to your account:0.7.6 requests Agent and Pipeline grants. Merged 0.9.4 source also requests an Account grant for App installation and credential management. Wallet login is also available:
